HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT GENERATOR

Choosing the right generator starts with knowing what you need to power. Make a list of the appliances, tools, or equipment you plan to use during an outage, then calculate their total running and starting wattage. Equipment with motors, such as refrigerators, pumps, air conditioners, and power tools, often requires extra starting power.

Next, consider the fuel type. Gasoline generators are generally affordable, easy to operate, and suitable for occasional use. Diesel generators are often more fuel-efficient, durable, and better suited for frequent or heavy-duty use.

You should also decide between pull start and key start. Pull-start models are simple and dependable, while key-start generators offer greater convenience, especially for persons who may find manual starting difficult.

Consider how often the generator will be used, where it will be placed, its noise level, portability, fuel availability, and maintenance requirements. Always choose a generator with slightly more capacity than your calculated wattage to avoid overloading it.

Not sure whether you need a 6500W, 8000W, or larger generator? Visit Silvie’s Industrial Solutions, and our team will calculate your wattage and recommend the best option.

Call or WhatsApp: 623-7755 or 705-9309
